- Do I transfer the domain to nics.dev?
- No. It stays in your registrar account, in your name, on your credit card. You delegate its nameservers to us and that is the whole handover.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing while nics.dev is in beta. No card, no per-domain fee, and no commission when a domain sells.
- What happens to my email?
- It keeps working. Your MX and TXT records are carried into the zone we serve, and you can add or edit A, AAAA, CNAME, TXT, MX, SRV and CAA records from the portal at any time.
- How do buyers pay?
- Directly to you. nics.dev never holds money. Ownership moves by registrar push or authorization code, and a third-party escrow service can hold the payment until the transfer is confirmed.
- Can I leave?
- Point the nameservers back at your registrar and the page stops resolving within the hour. Delete the domain in the portal and its stored visit logs go with it.
